How goes it with Mr. Spinoza?
I own a complete set of the Jeeves stories already but I can't resist buying doubles when I see an edition that has Fry and Laurie on the cover.
Progress update: 39 pages left but I'm quite angry at Spinoza right now. There is a part about the slaughtering of animals and Spinoza is very pro "use them as we please". Of course he can explain why that's not only okay but even part of the rational quest. And if you disagree here then it's based on vain superstition and womanish pity and not on sound reason. He likes to lable pity, favour and superstition as "womanish". Worst of all is that thanks to having read all that Spinoza I'm rather brainwashed. I can't be affected by strong emotions anymore without immediately thinking about "the origin and nature of emotions" and being aware of all the connections. Yes, I can explain my emotions Spinoza style now. lol
I bet you didn't think that would happen! I'm not surprised by Spinoza's labeling of pity, superstition and favor "womanish". He and many of the other philosophers/thinkers of that period hoped to conquer their emotions with rationalism.

I read too much porny Jeeves fic and have so many naughty thoughts about Jeeves that I sometimes forget that PGW's books are harmless. XD
My groceries shopper showed up earlier than expected and I had not cleared my table. There was enough room for what he brought so it wasn't a problem but when I saw that I had a Jeeves book lying on the table and my shopper glanced at it my mind went: "Good Lord! He must not see what stuff I'm into!" I snatched the book as if it were some kind of hardcore porn magazine. It was such an embarrassing overreaction. LOL

Last night I had one of those unfair dreams where it's in the Jeeves universe but the wrong character. I was sitting on Ginger's lap, he was shirtless and I was trying to seduce him. It was not bad but... Ginger??? I blame reading Much Obliged, Jeeves before going to bed and Bertie's description of him. It made me wonder if Bertie was attracted to Ginger. By the way I don't know who portrayed him on the show. My dream Ginger was a real hottie.
I don't know if he was ever portrayed on the show. I've had some Jeeves dreams, but they always stop at the good part.
I had a dream with Bertie!! And that dream had soo much potential but too much reality mixed in and that ruined it all. 🙁

When I got on the train I noticed it was the cleanest train I've ever been on, modern and shiny like freshly built and it seemed I was the only person present so I relaxed. Then someone approached and sat down opposite me and I realised: Oh my God! That's Bertie! It felt like he was a celebrity. 😆 He noticed that I kept on glancing at him and he smiled at me and I smiled back at him and this went on for a while (and OMG he was sooo cute!) and then he just asked me if I would be interested in a bit of kissing!!! And I told him sorry but better not because of the coronavirus. 🤦♂️ And there it ended. I say! WTF?! 😠

A friend of mine wanted to know the genre of the Jeeves stories and I accidentally said romantic comedy! 🤦♂️ Then I quickly corrected that it's actually just comedy and not romantic. 😅
Sounds accurate to me! You can always use the excuse that everybody gets engaged and unengaged.
