The two 1930s Jeeves films are atrocious. I don't know any others.

I am from Belgium and my native language is French, I like to think I am fluent in English by now, I know some Dutch but does not speak it as well as I should.

There was a friend of mine on tumblr who kept posting Jeeves and Wooster gifs and it intrigued me, I already knew both Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry from Fry and Laurie, QI and House and so I gave it a try and got hooked. I haven't read all the stories yet only the ones that are in the public domain, I plan on getting myself the books one day.

For those of whom who are comfortable doing so, what's the origin of your DW/Twitter/LJ/Tumblr name?

Mine comes from when I first started watching "House". Lisa Edelstein played his boss, Lisa Cuddy. She has a great body and wore the absolute best clothes. I wanted the body, yes, but I really wanted the wardrobe! It's my fandom name across all of the platforms.

I rather like the double meaning (because of course I am also reluctant to use my real name).

I have been wondering about yours!

I made mine up like a week ago just for this comm. I'm usually a pure lurker so I never needed one before. I enjoy unusual words and came across "quaff" and "doff" while rereading Wodehouse. I also kinda wanted to add "toff" but thought that would be too much. So I left it as something that could translate to "drink and take off your clothes."

You might take a look at "By Jeeves". It's a TV movie of the musical. There are sections on YouTube. Not my thing, but it's cute.

I've been "thesadchicken" online for quite a few years (7 or 8, if I'm not mistaken). My fandom name has 2 different origins:

1) My nickname in middle school was "the chicken". A teacher started it, funnily enough, and it stuck through high school!
2) There's a video of Michael Jackson saying "that's a sad chicken". I won't bore you with context lol but I'm a huge MJ fan, so I thought I'd use the "quote" as my online pseudonym

You can find me as "thesadchicken" on DW, Tumblr, Archive Of Our Own, fanfiction.net,... and I'm sure a few other places that I'm forgetting heh

I enjoy playing the Sims from time to time and, as someone once cleverly remarked on Tumblr, it does tend to turn into an "OTP puppet show" haha

So I made Jeeves and Bertie in the Sims 4 and I'm having so much fun watching them live happy (albeit a little weird) lives.

Hmm, well, here are a few odd things that have happened to Jeeves and Bertie up until now haha
(EDIT: oh my, I thought I'd posted this with a cut, I used the < cut > html code and all that, but it doesn't seem to be working...)

Jeeves likes to read in the evening. Bertie likes to grab something to eat and sit down half naked just watching Jeeves and smiling to himself. It's adorable really, especially when you know that he does this on autoplay!

They once went skinny dipping in a rooftop pool

Jeeves got bitten by a vampire and was transformed into a vampire himself!

As long as Jeeves drinks his "plasma packs" (or drinks directly from the necks of other people!) Bertie is safe. They're still very happy and very much in love

Jeeves has now mastered his powers and he can shift from his "dark form" to his normal, human form
