My mom had a nice little collection of the books when I was a kid, and she used to talk about how funny they were. I tried picking up Right Ho, Jeeves when I was about 10, but I guess the language threw me off—I just didn’t “get it”. I tried again a couple years later, and something clicked. I was hooked for life.

I used to read the books out loud to my parents and brother. It was a regular family ritual for a few weeks years. I recently revived the tradition with Aunts Aren’t Gentlemen, the only one we hadn’t yet read.

I didn’t see the show until about 10 years after I picked up the books. I was reluctant to even try it until I heard some music from the soundtrack. I’m very fond of it now and rewatch several of my fave episodes pretty frequently.

I got active in the actual fandom around 2010-ish, but I lurked for a few years before then.
