Date: 2019-07-12 07:41 pm (UTC)However, ladykeane's modern AUs use "Reg" which fits the setting. airandangels's fics also use "Reggie" and "Reg" but she makes it work. I just couldn't do it!

Date: 2019-07-12 08:12 pm (UTC)"Reg" and "Reggie" sounds to me more like how Bertie would call him if he had matey feels for Jeeves. If there would have been the step "to friends" before "to lovers" then maybe I could make it work in my head.
