It's the holidays! Over on The Lounge thread some cheeky folks are saying they're going to be reading, prompting, and commenting! If there is anything you'd like to say about the holidays? Good, bad, indifferent?

What gifts do you think do you think Bertie and Jeeves would give each other? What did Gussie give Madeline that upset her? (Besides newts, I mean!) What has Tuppy always wanted?

What happens when the Drones drink too much eggnog? Was eggnog even a thing back then?

I used to love Christmas, but in later years, not so much. However, I'm going to decorate a tree and hang a Christmas wreath on my apartment door. I usually have a dried eucalyptus wreath. So today I shall venture out and grab one!

Bertie hated visiting his cousins on holidays, not the least because Aunt Lucy got drunk and tried to be seductive.

I used to love drinking it straight from the carton as a kid. I can't remember if I liked it or not as an adult.

I just bought some nog made with almond milk and it is sO good mmm. (With a sprinkle of nutmeg of course!!)

A tipsy Bertie starts taking off his pajama bottoms most innocently, right there on the davenport. Jeeves panics O_O because it's late in the evening and they're in a weird in-between formal and informal place and he wants Bertie to be dressed
and some part of him has been wanting Bertie undressed, especially this late in the evening,
but this is different from how it went in his dreams
and so unexpected. Because Jeeves dreamed they would be in Bertie's bedroom and hadn't gotten as far as the heliotrope pajamas.
Because Jeeves knows socks with garters would look WAY better with the coral pajamas! :D

Bertie still has his robe on and is lounging like a Leyendecker lad with his bare calves peeking out.

Jeeves desires to hold Bertie's leg...it would be so easy...! But decides to put his desire to bed. He tells himself he'll see him again in the morning when both are clear-headed.

Where i live it is the middle of the longest night of the year. I just got home from a holiday concert afterparty and am tired but don't want to go to dleep. Hehe. We sang a lot of carols & pop songs and generally ate, drank, and were merry. I don't look forward to the holidays but this year feels a bit better than the last 3. Alexa, play "Long December" by Counting Crows.

I'm not much in the Christmas spirit this year. These are the first holidays without my mother. I haven't bought a wreath for the door yet, but that's the same as last year. Fortunately there's a place on 96th Street that has an ENORMOUS selection right up until New Year's.

Aw, yes, holidays without Mom are just not the same. 😢 (This is my 3rd xmas without my mom. My family hasn't quite figured out how to get together/what our roles are...it hasn't gotten easier.)

My brother has hosted the two family dinners, with the rest of us bringing drinks and desserts. We don't do any ceremonies of any kind. Just a huge dinner and socializing with family. Sometimes we've done potlucks. But everyone cooks and is vain about their cooking (justifiably so). So it works out.

It was very nice.
