Date: 2019-05-21 06:41 pm (UTC)Having a separate thread just for recs wouldn't really work unless we're expecting everyone to check that whole separate thread before posting a new prompt and keep re-checking it continually. If I see someone post a prompt and I know of a fic that fits, I don't want to just keep them in the dark about it because they posted in the wrong thread.
And as a writer I'm not discouraged from filling a prompt if someone links an old rec, in fact, that has helped inspired me to write my own version before.
